Mrs. Jess, Lead Teacher BellflowerJ@leonschools.net
I was born and raised right here in Tallahassee. I hold a BS degree in Elementary Education from Flagler College. I have been teaching for 4 years. This will be my 3rd year at SAS. I am married and have two energetic dogs, a Rottweiler and a Maltese/Pekinese. Away from school, I like to spend time with my family, enjoy our beach house at Alligator Point, boating, scrapbooking and I enjoy football and baseball! I love teaching and I am excited to work with you and your child in the fall. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Mrs. Alesheia, Associate Teacher PreshaA@leonschools.net
Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, I have lived in Tallahassee for over 20 years. I am certified in Elementary Education K-6 and English 5-12. Before joining the SAS family, I taught for six years as Lead Teacher at Sylvan Learning Center and served as a private tutor for two years. This is my third year at SAS. I have two children here at SAS, a rising Kindergartner and a rising 3rd grader. We are truly a SAS family! In my "spare" time, I enjoy participating in a worldwide Bible education program, reading, card making, attempting to learn piano and playing with my kids. Teaching is my passion and I am very thankful to be able to do what I love in such a wonderful teaching environment. I look forward to a wonderful year of learning and discovery with you and your family!
Ms. Erica, Substitute Associate Teacher mendozae@leonschools.net
Born in Miami, Florida, I moved to Tallahassee to attend Florida State University where I graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences in Family and Child Sciences. I spent the past year getting certified in Elementary Education (K-6) and working as a substitute teacher. I enjoy, baking, crafting, and spending time with my Yorkie, Ellie Mae. I am also a big FSU fan and looking forward to football season. I am very excited to be part of the Arts & Sciences team and working with your child!
